Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL Training (BUD/S) is one of the most grueling and demanding training programs in the U.S. military, designed to prepare candidates for the rigors of Navy SEAL operations. Held at the Naval Special Warfare Center in Coronado, and at the Naval Special Warfare Preparatory School in Great Lakes, Illinois. BUD/S is a six-month program that tests the physical, mental, and emotional fortitude of the trainees. The program is divided into three phases: Basic Conditioning, Diving, and Land Warfare. Each phase is progressively more challenging than the last and essential for developing the skillset and resilience required to be a SEAL.
